NATIONAL COLLEGE

National College, an Arts and Science College affiliated to the University of Kerala, has been established by the Manarul Huda Trust, Thiruvananthapuram-9, an organization committed to educational and philanthropic services.
The College is founded
- With the objective of offering University-level education and other courses in emerging areas of Arts, Science, Technology, Commerce, Management and Social work.
- To build up the vital infrastructure for the aspirants of higher education especially from the weaker and minority section of the society.
- To promote research and publication in the relevant areas aiming at value-based education. National College is situated amidst a serene setup endowed with a delectable academic atmosphere and state-of-the-art facilities at National Nagar, Kovalam Road, Manacaud, Trivandrum, three Kms away from East Fort.
ADMISSION
DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Applications are invited for admission to the following courses for the academic year 2022-2023.
The courses are run on Choice Based Credit and Semester System Degree Courses Duration of the courses – 3 Years (6 Semesters)
1. B.A. English and Communicative English
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.
2. B.Sc. Biochemistry and Industrial Microbiology
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Biology as one of the subjects.
3. B.Sc. Botany and Biotechnology
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Biology as one of the subjects.
4. B.Sc. Computer Science
A pass in Higher Secondary or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to by the University of Kerala with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects.
5. B.Sc. Electronics
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Physics as one of the subjects.
6. B.Com.-Elective Computer Application
7. B.Com. Commerce & Tax Procedure and Practice
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto provided candidates coming from Non-Commerce group should have at least 45% of the aggregate marks.
8. BBA-Bachelor of Business Administration
A pass in Higher Secondary or any other examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with any subject combination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
9. BCA Bachelor of Computer Application
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects.
10. BSW-Bachelor of Social Work
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent recognized by the University.
11. B.Sc. Physics and Computer Application
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Physics as one of the subjects.
12. B.Sc. Botany
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Biology as one of the subjects.
Second language-Arabic / Hindi / Malayalam for courses 1, 2, 3, 6 , 7 & 12
PG PROGRAMMES
1. M.A. English (Language and Literature)
B.A. English as optional main subject securing not less than 45% in part III including subsidiaries or Graduation in any subject in the Faculties of Arts, Social Science, Science, Oriental Studies and Fine Arts securing not less than 50% marks in Part I (Three papers undec compulsory English)/B.A. Communicative English (Vocational)/B.A. English Language and Literature and B.A. Communicative English (Restructured).
2. M.Com. Finance
B.Com. with not less than 45% marks in Part III optional subjects 2% relaxation for OBC and pass for SC/ST.
3. M.Sc. Electronics
A pass in B.Sc. Electronics/B.Sc. Physics/B.Sc. Computer Science/BCA as one of the subjects within the dual degree scheme with 50% marks from a recognized University.
4. M.Sc. Biochemistry
B.Sc. with Biochemistry or Chemistry as optional main subject and any two of the following as subsidiary subjects viz. (i) Mathematics (ii) Physics (iii) Botany and (iv) Zoology under Part III securing not less than 55% marks for that part / B.Sc. Industrial Fish and Fisheries (Vocational)/B.Sc. Biological Techniques and specimen preparation (Vocational) B.Sc. Biochemistry and Industrial Microbiology (restructured) Subject combinations with Bio-Chemistry or Chemistry (Vocational) are also eligible 25% seats will be reserved for candidates with B.Sc. Biochemistry
5. M.S.W – Master of Social Work
National College Trivandrum, is accepting applications for our 2-year MSW program. If you have a graduation degree and are looking to make a difference in society, our department of Social Work is the perfect place to start your career journey.
Eligibility
Graduation in any subject in the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Science, Oriental Studies and Commerce securing not less than 45% marks in Part III – Optional Subjects. BBA Degree holders are also eligible.
Age Limit
No age limit.
Index Marks Calculation
Entrance Test: 40%; Group discussion and Interview: 30%; Mark obtained for UG Examination: 30% or a maximum of 30 marks
Special Order stipulated for Admission
An applicant for admission found to have indulged in ragging in the past or if it is noticed later that he/she has indulged in ragging, admission may be refused or he/she shall be expelled from the educational institution
HOW TO APPLY
Application for admission in Management Quota Seat shall be made online on the college website: https://ncas.edu.in
The candidates seeking admission under Management Quota seats also should register their names online through the University website. The printout of the online registration should be attached along with the application for the Management Quota seat and the same should be submitted directly before the Principal.

ADMISSION FORMALITIES
For Admission, candidates should be accompanied by their parents/guardians and the following documents in original should be produced.
1.Pass Certificate and Mark list of the previous qualifying examination and S.S.L.C
2.Eligibility Certificate in addition to Pass Certificate, if necessary
3.Migration Certificate in case of students from other Universities / Boards
4.Transfer Certificate.
5.Conduct Certificate from the Head of the institution where the candidate last studied.
6.Passport size photograph
7.Certificates of extra-curricular activities, if any.
