The department of Physics & Computer Application came into existence in the academic year 2020 with 30 seats. The department has basic infrastructure facilities to meet the requirement for teaching in various areas of Physics.

Course Details

BSc (Physics & Computer Application)

BSc (Physics and Computer Applications) is a bridge for the graduates to understand and orient themselves into two major courses. The course gives deep knowledge in Physics as well as Computer. The dual main course gives students the opportunities to pursue their Master’s Degree in Physics, or Computer.

Admission criteria

For the career-related First Degree Programme in Physics and Computer Application (restructured) a pass in Secondary examination of the state or an Examination accepted by the university as equivalent there to with physics as one of the subjects is the eligibility criteria.

Course details

The department conducts three years (6 semesters) graduation course. The course includes 29 theory papers (11 Core papers, 8 complimentary papers, 6 English papers, and language papers), 6 practical papers, project work, and industrial visits. Complementary subjects – Mathematics.

Physics plays a vital role in generating fundamental knowledge required for the technological advancements that will continue to drive the world’s economic engines. It not only contributes to the technological infrastructure but also provides skilled personnel who can leverage scientific discoveries and advances. The thrill of physics stems from the challenge of conducting new experiments to uncover the secrets of nature. Its objective is to explain the workings of everything in our surroundings, from the behaviour of minuscule charged particles to the motion of people, vehicles, and even spaceships.

Labs

The department has a provision of the fully equipped laboratory with top-end instruments. Department ensures labs equipped with instruments to conduct practical’s both for core and complementary papers (Physics, Electronics & Computer)
